About the Artist
Carol Ross
From Amherst, Massachusetts,
Carol Ross always allowed the
camera to give her a voice and
has found it a useful tool to
mirror her environment and
present her discoveries back to
the world. “Photography is an
important tool for me in that I
am able to share my
discoveries with others in
hopes of giving the world a
place to see itself as beautiful
and interesting and intricate.
We are already inundated with
aspects of pain and suffering.
My goal is to provide a deeper
look into what could ultimately
be healing, relieving or even
nostalgic. I am constantly
changing angles and breaking
technical rules, searching for
new ways to view and interpret
the world around me,
sometimes with humor, always
with compassion.”

Carol Ross has been a fine art
and portrait photographer for 9
years in New York, Los Angeles
and Virginia. She currently
lives in Brooklyn, NY with her
husband and son.
